Summary

The primary responsibility of the Quality Control will be to mentor and oversee driving personnel and the needs of the department including coaching, training and evaluating driver performance. 

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Assist drivers on new or unfamiliar jobs/assignments.
  • Document and submit evaluations to Driver Manager/Operations Managers.
  • Continuously work with short service employees (SSE) out in the field where needed.
  • Train drivers on PeopleNet, trouble shoot issues, and understand technical and reporting aspects of the device.
  • Work the truck line at shift change and assist drivers to get out in the field in a timely manner.
  • Work with dispatch on scheduling advancement for drivers on service jobs and SSE's that are scheduled to work.
  • Work closely with Operations/Driver Managers.
  • Ensure the cleanliness and maintenance of the equipment through regular inspections and preventive maintenance programs.
  • Conduct and/or contribute to periodic driver/safety meetings to maintain favorable working relationships among all employees and promote maximum morale, productivity and efficiency.
  • Actively participate in Company's behavior based safety (BBS) program.
  • CDL Class A license required.

Education

High school diploma, GED or equivalent.

 

Licenses and Certifications

CDL Class A license required
Valid driver's license required.
