Summary

The HSE Technical Analyst, provides support and guidance to ensure that the company's objectives are achieved in the areas of safety, training, and environmental concerns. This includes providing assistance and instruction to all levels of management and employees in their efforts to reduce the frequency and severity of personal injuries, motor vehicles accidents, property damage losses, and environmental releases. This position helps plan, develop, implement and monitor programs to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and all local, state, and federal regulations.  

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Primary technician involved in the administrative portion of the incident/injury management life cycle
  • Accompanying employees to workplace injury appointments
  • Primary administrative technician for HSE Incident Tracker
  • Maintains professional correspondence by phone, email, or in person with business partners and customers
  • Takes a proactive approach in MBIs Behavior Based Safety System
  • Data and statistical management
  • Create and maintain customized reports for MBIs business partners in different business lines
  • Quality Assurance of accountability and integrity of incident information packets
  • Participate and administer Root Cause Analysis investigation packets
  • Primary backup for HSE Administration Director
  • Champions and promotes safe work habits
  • Assists HSE Professional's with internal company audits regarding compliance, local, State, and Federal
  • Understanding of basic learning concepts, including training, goal setting, motivation, communication, and organization
  • Aids to ensure compliance with the company's DOT and Non-DOT drug and alcohol testing policies and procedures
  • Establishes and maintains a line of communications with operations management, customers, vendors, educational institutes, and professional organizations
  • Performs and assumes other duties and responsibilities as may be required by the immediate supervisor
  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle and hold a valid driver's license

  • Must possess strong communication skills

  • Proficient with computers and Microsoft Office suite with strong excel skills
  • Must by detail oriented
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Work schedule is primarily 5 days on 2 days off which may require the ability to respond to calls before/after hours and on weekends infrequently
  • Must adhere to company policies and work requirements
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment
  • Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
  • Performs the primary thinking called for and encompassed by the overall position definition

Education

High school diploma required, relevant industry experience a plus.
