Summary

The Operations Engineer ll will operate in the Workover Division and is assigned to improve efficiencies through data analysis and accurate reporting.  This requires being able to look at large data sets and manipulate the numbers to show which ways the department is trending.  Occasionally, an Operations Engineer ll may be required to go into the field to see any hands on areas in which efficiency can be improved.  Combining the field experience with the statistical analyses performed, an Operations Engineer ll is also expected to provide recommendations on ways to improve efficiencies.  The Operations Engineer II will also need to be able to prepare and deliver accurate presentations both internally and externally as required. Finally, an Operations Engineer ll will work closely with the Executive and Senior leadership and is expected to provide them with any information they may need to better run the department.

 

Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Update weekly and monthly reports for District Managers and other assigned Managers providing both revenue and cost analysis to allow them to better manage their operations
  • Update Reports for management to determine if employees and equipment are/or can be operating more efficiently
  • Assess, prepare and provide routing for upcoming bids. Understand and report on potential impacts that proposals will have to the organization.
  • Locate and format data for anyone in need of it
  • Be able to prepare and deliver accurate presentations both internally and externally as required
  • Go into field to get hands on experience with the operations of the department in order to provide suggestions on ways to improve
  • Provide Director/VP level management with any data, critical analysis or information needed
  • Pull and understand data from multiple sources to build Reports in Excel that will be useful in making key decisions for the department
  • Be able to capture market research and work alongside business development teams
  • Gather, analyze, and synthesize market data in order to identify trends and new developments that could lead to new opportunities for the Company
  • Ensure data quality control through in depth understanding of data processes and regularly report findings to direct supervisor and Company's data management teams
  • Create and edit material for all new and existing business pursuits; including presentations for current customers
  • Work collaboratively with teams, internal service departments and key service line leaders, locally and remotely
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively with customers and service vendors as to best represent the needs of the organization

Required Skills

  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel
  • Experience with Pivot Tables preferred
  • General knowledge of data analysis
  • Exceptional organizational skills with the ability to prioritize tasks based on the needs of direct supervisor/senior leadership and the needs of the supporting division(s)
  • Ability to learn quickly in a fast-paced environment
  • Must be able to work in a team environment
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with current and potential customers, both internal and external
  • Must be able to drive a company vehicle and hold a valid drivers license
