The HR Benefits Specialist is responsible for overseeing benefits training and administration within our organization. He/she will also assist in a variety of assigned duties and responsibilities within the HR department. 


Essential Job Functions and Responsibilities include the following. Other duties may be assigned.

  • Provide training for new and current employees regarding HR systems and benefits by presenting at new hire orientation.
  • Ensure compensation and benefits plans are cost-effective and competitive.  
  • Monitor government regulations, legislation, and benefits trends.
  • Work with insurance brokers.
  • Ensure company is compliant with state and federal laws.
  • Maintain personnel files in compliance with applicable legal requirements.
  • Understand and implement HR policy as part of daily responsibilities.
  • Other HR projects as assigned.


Required Skills

  • Must be able to effectively communicate, both orally and written.
  • Must have basic problem solving and organization skills.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.
  • Must be able to work in a team environment.
  • Must be able to perform the essential functions in a fast paced and high stress environment.
  • Must possess exceptional customer service skills and the ability to work with all levels of employees.

  • Bachelor's Degree in Human Resources or other business related field preferred. Work experience may be substituted in lieu of a bachelor's degree.
  • High School diploma, GED or Equivalent required.


Licenses and Certifications

Valid driver's license required.
